“Healing starts at the foundation of a body that can sleep, a body that can rest, a body that feels safe, a body that can move. There is an indisputable connection between a person's overall physical and mental health and the inner peace and well-being yoga is designed to achieve.”

Mindful Yoga

Creating a happier life includes improving the relationship you have with your body.  Many people live entirely in their head and have disconnected from their bodies. By engaging your body in a very mindful and purposeful way, you can reset and rewire areas of your brain and nervous system that have been disturbed by unreleased trauma and chronic conditions.

Skilled at treating the whole person, I support your desire to create a consistent yoga practice. Committed to my own daily practice I know it to be the most effective way to increase self-awareness, build confidence, shift habits and reclaim wholeness. You do not need to meet any requirements of fitness, age, or health. You can experience the benefits regardless of your medical condition or religious beliefs. I will meet you where you are with compassion and guidance to help improve the quality of your life and overall well-being.

Traditional Yoga is, and always has been, a holistic healing discipline that offers a broad range of tools for supporting health, healing and personal transformation. Yoga is a discipline for integrating the mind and body into union and harmony. When adopted as a way of life it improves our physical, mental and spiritual health and supports us through challenging life events and transitions.

Relationship ABC’s are integral to my style of yoga and are used to explore body, breath, mind, feelings and emotions and their mutual interaction.

You can also expect:

Yoga postures - to gain strength and mobility, increase balance, release tension and reduce pain.

Breathing practices - to strengthen and stretch the body and lungs, reduce pain, and calm the nervous system.

Mindfulness/Meditation/Guided Relaxation - to manage chronic pain and stress, enhance personal growth, strengthen the immune system, and promote mental clarity.

Intentions and self-inquiry - to stimulate and support the body’s healing system by instilling awareness, motivation and commitment.
